Abstract: The experiments of potato cultivated with straw covering and no-tillage under different managements of density and fertilizer dosage were carried out in 2004–2005. The results showed that the fresh potato yield of different managements was different significantly. F1D4 with 375 kg compound fertilizer and 90000 plants per ha was the highest yield in these treatments. The potato yield was increased when planting density of potato was increased, the amount of big potato was increased when the potato planting density was decreased, the weight of average single potato was increased, the commodity characteristic of potato was better. We proposed that most low density of the potato with straw covering and no-tillage cultivation was more than 60,000 plants /hm2, the planting density was lower in fertility soil and was higher in poor soil.
