Abstract: The experiment of planting Chinese chives with Subsurface Drip Irrigation Indicated that Subsurface Drip Irrigation made the content of soil organic matter increase 13.71%~30.08%,soil bulk density decrease 11.2%~12.4%,and soil porosity of arable soil increase 12.2%~13.9%. So that, Subsurface Drip Irrigation improved root growing environment , increased root growth to deep soil, percentage of 10~15cm, 15~20cm length root number increased 12.5%, 2.9%, percentage of root dry weight in 0~5cm decreased 30.2%, percentage of root dry weight in 5~10cm、10~15cm、15~20cm depth soil increased 19.9%, 8.5% and 1.8% respectively。
