Abstract: In order to study the relation of ion absorption and Ferricyanide reductase, compare the differential of several wheat cultivars, hydroponics and short-term uptake tests were undertaken. Ferricyanide reductase was detected in wheat root, and there exist difference in activity of Ferricyanide reductase among wheat cultivars. Whether Ferricyanide added or not to reaction solution, the roots of all wheat cultivars could brought about pH change because of the transfer of potassium and proton across plasma membrane of roots, moreover, the existence of Fe(CN)63- as the reaction substrate to Ferricyanide reductase enhanced the degree of pH change. The deoxidization of Fe(CN)63- influenced on the uptake/exudation of potassium across plasma membrane of roots, and with different effects on different cultivars. Ferricyanide reductase have an effect on ion transport across cell membrane, and with different effects on different cultivars.
