Abstract: The paper first presents the problems existing in the development of journals of agricultural science and technology, that is most of such journals make a loss but few of them get profits. Then it brings forward some strategies, including updating notion of management, following the market, optimizing the journals’ contents and building the name in order to establish a developing viewpoint focusing on benefit. Besides, the service-for-readers awareness and market awareness are also important for the journals to raise both economic and social benefits. The past extensive increasing model, which thinks high of the academic level but disregards the economic benefit, should also be charged. Instead, the journals should give weight to their circulation and accept an appropriate number of commercials so that the journals of agricultural science and technology can go on the track of sound progress.
