Moisture Content Change of Tobacco Leaf in Different Type of Cured Barn

Abstract

Abstract: To master the laws of changes of moisture in the cured tobacco leaves during close curing process and improve the quality of the cured tobacco leaves, the changes of moisture content in cured tobacco leaves during curing process were studied．The results showed that the change of moisture content in the three Flue-cured barn in this assay had the similar degradation laws. In different flue-cured barn (flue-cured barn with air arise, flue-cured barn with air descend and common flue-cured barn), different position tobacco leaf, the speed of water-losing was different. The lowest was flue-cured barn with air descend, next was flue-cured barn with air arise, the fast was common flue-cured barn. In the same barn, the speed of water-losing in leaf at different position on the stem was: middle leaf＜upper leaf＜tips.
