Abstract: The seeds of Achyranthes Bidentata from recoverable satellite were used in this study. The agricultural characters of SP1 from the seeds were observed, and the physiological and biochemical indexes which were chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b, soluble sugar, proline, soluble proteins and gibberellin in SP1 were detected, the isoenzymes(super-oxide dismutase, catalase and amylase) were analyzed by PAGE. The results showed that the outer-space environment maybe cause the different variations of the SP1 compared with the control. One SOD isoenzyme band lacked in HT-2 compared with those of the others. The CAT isoenzyme bands in HT-1, HT-2 and HT-3 were much fewer than those of the control, while the Amy isoenzyme bands were almost identical to the control, however, the Amy activities of HT-1, HT-2 and HT-3 were higher than those of the control. The SP1 from the seeds of Achyranthes Bidentata carried by recoverable satellite obviously differed from the control in some biological characters.
