Abstract: According to actual needs of calculating volume, the paper introduces the use principles and related application of the function in Excel software, and preparing the worksheet for Chinese fir log volume in Excel, and especially illustrates the methods preparing Excel function formula to auto-input and auto-sum up volume data of Chinese fir log. The result indicates that this methods increase the efficiency and accuracy of the volume’s calculation compared with the traditional methods.
