Abstract: t is more popular that GIS was used in forest management. In this article, Qinghai Xunhua nature preservation zone was selected as the experiment site, Mapinfo 7.0 was used to make the forest map ,the forest distribution map and the forest resource database was established. Then forest cumulation mapping were finished. It made the inquiry, updateing and management of forest resource convenient, quick and direct-viewing.
