Effects of Enhanced UV- Radiation on Morphological and Physiological Characters of Welsh Onion

Abstract: In this study，the effects of UV-B radiation on plant height, stem diameter, water content, contents of flavonoid , chlorophyll , V c and soluble solid of welsh onion (Allium fistulosum L.) were studied. The results were as followings: plant height, the content of chlorophyll b and flavonoid content were significantly affected by enhanced UV-B radiation. However, contents of chlorophyll a and total chlorophyll, water, V c, and soluble solid were not significantly affected.
