Abstract: This article conducted a preliminary test on the insecticidal, antibacterial and allelopathic activity of the four compounds——podophyllotoxin, deoxypodophyllotoxin, 4-epi-abietal and abieta-7,13-dien-3-one that isolated from Sabina vulgaris Ant. The results showed that 4-epi-abietal and abieta-7,13-dien-3-one had strong antifeeding activity and certain toxicity against Mythimna separata Walker, Plutella xylostella Linnaeus and Pieris rapae L.. And podophyllotoxin and deoxy podophyllotoxin exhibited good antibacterial activity against Phytophthora capsici Leon, Botrytis cirerea Pers. and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Bary. Allelopathic activity showed that podophyllotoxin against root of A.retroflexus.L. and Avena fatua , deoxypodophyllotoxin against root of A.retroflexus.L., Avena fatua and Veronica persica had good inhibition effect, the inhibating rates were more than 80%.
