Abstract: Molecular marking is new genetic markers , it is a chief means that investigate genetic variation and evolution, the development and application of molecular marking are playing an active role in molecular biology and biotechnology progress of rice.This paper introduces the basic principle, character and method of more than 20 variety of molecular marking technologies so far，and reviews applied status quo in investigate genetic variation and evolution of rice.
