Abstract: Fusarium wilts, caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. conglutinans, is becoming a destructive disease of warm season-grown cabbage in North of China. The aim of this paper was to explore an optimized method for screening and identifying disease resistant and susceptible cabbage genotypes. In this study, we took the most virulent isolate from Shanxi, named GLHW1, as the inoculum for optimized method screen. A factorial experiment was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of different screen method. Based on the results of present study, the inoculation procedure recommended to cabbage breeders is dipping root of cabbage seedling at the 3-true-leaf stage with a suspension of spores containing 1×106 spores per milliliter.
