Abstract: Based on the Chinese Fir plantation biomass and productivity database, we analyzed the biomass, productivity, allocation rate of various organs in the Chinese Fir plantation, the relationship between the stand age and the biomass, productivity, allocation rate of various organs on the region scale. Results show that there is a significant relativity between the gross biomass of the Chinese Fir plantation and the stand age on the region scale. This relationship can be expressed by the Chapman-Richards growth equation. The biomass of every age calculated using the volume data in the forest inventory material is better than the biomass data measured in the experimental site in representing the actual growth situation of Chinese fir plantation. The biomass distribution rate of various organs is different with the stand age. The change trend of average productivity with the stand age is about ten years later than that of year-by-year productivity. So, the average productivity can not represent the yearly actual productivity change of the Chinese fir plantation. These results can provide some datum for the second national Greenhouse Gas Inventory and improve the quality of the Inventory.
