Abstract:

Abstract: One common problem during molecular research was the difficulty in isolation of RNA from medicinal plants. The quality of RNA isolated from medicinal plants was usually poor and was not ideal as start material for molecular research. In order to solve this problem, one kind of RNA extraction method which was suitable for different tissues of Rehmannia glutinosa was explored and the RNA quality was tested by subsequent molecular experiments. The results showed that the extracted RNA isolated by this method was pure and integral and could satisfy molecular experiment needs. It also showed that the method can be used for RNA extraction of other medicinal plants.
