Abstract: Thirty half yearly BMY bulls were selected to finish, then were divided into 3 groups randomly under 24-hour-grazing system with supplementary feeding. After the finishing period, the cattle were slaughtered and their carcass characteristics at the age of 12, 18 and 24 months were analyzed. Results showed that BMY cattle finishing performance was better, body size was bigger and beef performance was higher. The average dressing percentage, net beef rate and carcass beef rate of BMY cattle were 59.56%, 49.62% and 82.92%, respectively. The carcass characteristics of BMY cattle were better, which were of high quality. The beef of BMY cattle was juicy, thinner, tenderness and delicious. BMY cattle were similar to the foreign standard of the beef cattle breeds.
