Abstract: To reaserch of the contradiction between food production and forage grass development,the paper designed three treatments by spring potato and oat:monocropping potato, monocropping oat,and intercropping potato and oat.The result represented that intercropping potato and oat was helpful for emergence of seedling and vegetative growth of potato,and the economic outputs of intercropping potato and oat was 43450.4kghm-2 that was 28.07% more than monocropping potato.But intercropping potato and oat markedly reduced tuber yield and rate of economic potato,tuber yield of intercropping was only 32.38% of monocropping potato.The reaserch indicated that intercropping spring potato and two-crop oat was feasible to relieve the contradiction between food production and forage grass development.
