Abstract: The objective of this study was to explore new techniques for the tea-growing seedling. The major method was cuttage of short stem with a long lateral shoot and application of plant growth regulator. The experiment result showed it was favorable obviously to raise survival rate and the rate of nursery coming out and to shorten the times of growing seedling. The highest survival rate reached 100%,the rate of nursery coming out was 90.2%.The times of growing seedling were about 4~5 months and shortened above 6 months as compared with the method of cuttage of short stem. The nursery can be used successively. Diseases, insets and weeds were decreased obviously. It is favorable for decreasing the costs of growing seedling and increasing economic incomes.
