Abstract:

In recent years, Breeding of Brassica napus has got a great progress in China, but the oil contents of conventional varieties was in a low level. High oil content has become the main breeding objective. Institute of industrial Crops Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences had selected high oil content lines in Brassica napus by polymerization hybridization and microspore culture technique, and analysed oil content by the NIRS (near infrared reflectance spectroscopy). Oil content of T057-7 was 50.15% and 52.38%, the result analysed by Quality and Safety Inspection Test Center for Oilseeds Products, Ministry of Agriculture in 2003 and 2004. T057-7 was a high oil content restorer line with resistant to virus disease, tolerance to Sclerotinia Sclerotiorum and excellent agronomic characters, it can be used in breeding of high oil content Brassica napus cultivars.
