Abstract:

In order to provide reasonable references to introduction of maize varieties, we did ecological experiments using different maize varieties in places at different latitude and discussed the relationship between the growth stage of maize and latitude. The results show: under the premise of basically the same altitude, maize at low latitude matures earlier than high latitude obviously; the time of both sowing-to-maturation and emergence-to-maturation is shorter. Latitude has a bigger influence to maize vegetative growth than to reproductive growth. Maize whole growth periods, vegetative growth time and reproductive growth time all has a positive linear relationship to latitude. The regression coefficients are similar in the same year and have great difference in different year.
