Effects of Five Feed Composition on the Growth and Development of Martianus dermestoides Chevrolat

Abstract:

In this paper, under changing temperature conditions, those indicators such as the larvae,Pupa and adult morphology, activedegree, feeding habits were observed on those M. dermestoides Chevrolat feeding on soyrice, flour, popcorn meal, soybean meal, herbal medicine meal. Effects of Five Feed Composition on pupae, pupaweight and imagoweight were analysed when the larvae pupated. Results showed that the the pupae of M. dermestoides Chevrolat feeding on the soybean meal is the longest while the pupae of M. dermestoides Chevrolat feeding on the soyrice is the shotest. The treatment of soyrice,,flour gave the higher pupaweight. In five feed composition the sequence of imagoweigh from heavy to light is, herbal medicine meal, popcorn, flour, soyrice ,soybean meal. Based on an integrated consideration of the effects of the feeds and their cost, a compound feed is recommended that contains popcorn meal as the primary components combined with some soyrice.
