Abstract: The seeds of Parthenocissus quinquefolia which had been cold stratified were irradiated with 60Co-γ ray. The seed germination, the early stage growth of seedling, the growth of M1 plants and morphological variation were observed. The results suggest that irradiation dose for seed germination and early stage growth of seedling were restrained mid-extent was 40～50Gy . The irradiation dose for the growth of M1 plants was 40Gy and so on. The suggested irradiation dose for seeds of Parthenocissus quinquefolia is 30～40Gy. The morphological variation of M1 plants is not significant. It can be concluded that the morphological variation frequency of M1 plants of Parthenocissus quinquefolia induced by Co60-γis low.
