Primary Study on the Occurrence and Controlling of Lema decempunctata, the main defoliators of Atropa belladonna

Abstract:

Lema decempunctata occurred 5 generations annually in Xinyang City, and overwintered in soil wtih pupa of white cocoon. Adults fed and mated in the next middle of April, and the adults and larvae of following generationgs damaged leaves of Atropa belladonna. The leaves were often eated to reticulation if this insect damaged seriously. Larvae produced white cocoon and pupated at soil in the early october, and generation overlapping maybe occurred. Artificial controlling and spraying 200mL/667m2 0.5% Dayin EC had good effect to Lema decempunctata.
