The Breeding of the New Triploid Grape Cultivar ‘Hongbiao Seedless’ with Large Berries and High Quality

Abstract: ‘Hongbiao Seedless’ is a triploid seedless grape cultivar derived from ‘Zhengzhou Zaohong’(a diploid seeded cultivar)בKyoho’(a tetraploid seeded cultivar).It was crossed in 1986. It ripens very early, 30d earlier than ‘Kyoho’. The berries are large, black purple with crisp flesh, high quality and 15.4% soluble solid content. It’s productive, disease-resistant. The fruit is suitable for both fresh use and canning. It is suitable both in open and protection cultivation.
