Studies on Shaping and Pruning Big Trees

Abstract:

Abstract: For many years it has been a relativly weak part that shaping and pruning of big trees during urban garden landscaping and maintenance. In different city the work of shaping and pruning is carried upon by respective experiences and subjective.There’s lack of a uniformed theoretical basis. In recent years, with the developing of the urban gardening, there’s a urgent need to establish a relativly scientific and reasonable technique to shaping and pruning big trees in the city of Beijing. This article based on the study of shaping and pruning of three varieties trees, including Chinese scholartree、Chinese pine and gingkgo,to discuss about how to carry on the shaping and pruning of the big tree. Then find out the law of cuting and reasonabl theoretical evidence,to be helpful for establishing a technical standard of big tree shaping and pruning.
