Abstract:

On the basis of study scheme and technology route of evaluation system, an evaluating index system for land intensive using of the rural residential areas has been established. A case study in Jiangsu province is described in 2005.The results showed that the distribution of evaluating values of 65 regions in Jiangsu Province is from 18.3 to 83.4, and obeys the normal distribution. The intensive degree of the rural residential areas is differences in the spatial distribution, and decreases generally from south to north of Jiangsu Province. In different regions，measures adaptable to local conditions should be taked to promote the intensive degree of the rural residential areas adjust measures to local conditions.
