Abstract: Agronomic and quality traits of 16 newly introduced Australian wheat varieties were evaluated in Beijing. The results showed that must varieties performed well in term of the plant height and content of protein and some farinograph properties . The correlation analysis indicate that only the significance negative relation between plant height and 1000-grain weight among studied four agronomic characters and some significance negative or positive relation were dedected among 8 qualities traits excepted water absorption. Three varieties with excellent quality have screened for further appraising and utilization
