Abstract: 【OBJECTIVE】In order to understand the herbicidal activities of different organs of Pruns persica cv001. ‘Ju Hua’ on seedlings of Lactuca sativa L., Cucumis sativus L., Amaranthus retroflexus L., Abutilon theophrasti Medicus Malv., Triticum aestivum L. and Echinochloa crusgalli (L.) Beauv. as the receiver plants and provide the evidence for further study of active compounds. 【METHOD】 Method of grinded plant tissue powder mixed with agar (PPA) was employed. 【RESULTS】The growths of different receiver plants seedlings were inhibited by different organs of P. persica cv001. ‘Ju Hua’ on different degree and the inhibitory effects on radicals (or seminal root) were higher than that on hypocotyls (coleoptile) at 10 g/L concentration. Among all the organs of P. persica cv001. ‘Ju Hua’, the roots, shoots and flowers showed the very high herbicidal activities, but the activities of the leaves were relatively lower. The seedlings of A. retroflexus and E. crusgalli (L.) Beauv. showed the highest and lowest sensibilities to all active organs among 6 receiver plants, respectively. 【CONCLUSION】The results suggested that the roots, shoots and flowers of P. persica cv001. ‘Ju Hua’ may contain the high herbicidal compounds and have certain selectivity to receiver plants.
