The Agricultural Land Suitability Evaluation of Zhuanghe town

Abstract: Abstract:Comparing present situation and the result of the suitability evaluation, the spacial adjustment of land use structure and agricultural overall arrangement of Zhuanghe town has been analyzed. The rational advices have been put forward on agricultural overall arrangement in the future on the basis of analyzing the obstacle factor of land use in Zhuanghe areas. It is that this research carries out the specific practice of agricultural land resource suitability evaluation: First, according to the principle of selecting the evaluated factors, the 7 evaluation factors used in the land resource suitability evaluation have been defined. Secondly, each of the 7 factors is evaluated based on principles of the agricultural land suitability evaluation in Zhuanghe area. Thirdly, the weight of each factor has been calculated by the measure of Analytic Hierarchy Process and the unit of the land suitability evaluation application has been determined with compositive cartography. Then, the spacial database of each factor has been established using the relevant data information and the graph information of 7 evaluation factors such as soil texture, irrigation guarantee and traffic status and so on. The result of the agricultural land suitability evaluation would be obtained after the overlaying analysis by using GIS software. Then we get the classified quantity and space distribution of the agricultural land that is suitable for plantation, forest and herd of Zhuanghe town agricultural land resources. The agricultural land suitability evaluation result shows that the area of the land suitable plantation, forestry and herd of Zhuanghe town is 1369.34km2,1639.91km2 and 764.75km2, and take 36.28%,43.45% and the 20.26% of land gross area respectively.
