Abstract: Investigation and distribution, planing on the Garden Trees in Urmqi City Gulibanya(Xinjiang Forestry School,Urmqi,Xinjiang830011 Abstract This article mainly focuses on the systematic investigation and study of trees and vegetation for garden, according to the standard classification of city green grounds CJJ/T85-2002. We made a series of investigation, statistic, analysis and assessment for the popular vegetation type at the present. With comprehension of the city ecology, aesthetics of garden, and garden planning, and the regular pattern of ecology and vegetation, and the fact that the city of Urumqi stands as the center of politics, culture, economy and transportation, we made a overall plan of the vegetation for the city, making the preparation for the beautification for the city. According to the statistics, there are roughly 132 species of trees in Urumqi, among them 17 are evergreen trees, 115 are deciduous, the ratio of evergreen and deciduous are 1:6.76; made an overall rule for the planning of Urumqi: 1. ecology priority. 2. specialty and innovation 3. paticulate place for patuculate trees. 4. continuable development. And pointed out several short comings of the city planning for Urumqi: After this investigation, we made a choice of basic and main trees for the city, and made specific plan of species of trees for the protection forest, trees on sides of road, perpendicular vegetation.
