Abstract:

Through investigation of wild flower resources in Beijing mountain areas, 170 species of wild plant were recorded, they belong to 48 families, 131 genus, respectively. Among them, 90 species have economic interests, including 29 species of woody plant and 71 species of herbals. Through selecting and experimental planting, such as Sedum aizoon、 Duchesnea indica、 Viola yedoensis 、Ixeris chinensis、 Apocynum venetum were selected , based on their haracteristics of drought-resistance and low nutrition requirement, their planting、culture and maintenance costs are low, therefore they are suitable to be widely planted in Beijing gardening and greening project.
