Study on rice quality of order-form raw grain producted in Zhejiang

Abstract:

The difference of rice quality of order-form raw grain producted in Zhejiang Province among paddy farmers was analysed in two selecting rice industry companies from Jiaxing Zhejiang. The results showed that the raw rice grain from many different varieties in two companies producted by a large-number of small-scale paddy farmers. The difference of rice appearance quality (included of chalky grain rate and chalkiness) ranked highest among different order-form raw rice grains from daddy farmers, fatty acid and fat content ranked second, amylose content, protein content and head milled rice rate ranked third, and other quality index was comparatively smalled. The reason was from the difference cultivation measures among paddy farmers. The results indicate the possibility to improve fresh and storage rice quality and their stability by use of similar management in paddy and standardization in rice order-form production.
