Abstract:

In order to study the relationship between the yield and carbon isotope discrimination of wheat leaves, grain and stem, some different wheat varieties were grown on two ecological environments (limited irrigation area and rain fed area) in Ningxia from 2006 to 2008. The results showed that : In irrigated agricultural areas, the △13C of wheat stem and yield were related to a significant level for 3 years; The △13C of wheat grain and yield were related to a significant level for 2 years, Another one-year of no significant correlation; The △13C of wheat leaves and yield were related to a significant level only in 2008, Another two years of no significant correlation. But in rain fed condition, the △13C of wheat leaves, grain and stem were not correlated positively with yield, and the lower △13C materials have higher yield of different wheat varieties. Therefore, the carbon isotope discrimination of wheat can be an Identification index in irrigated agricultural areas, and wheat stem in the mature is the best organ for determination, The best organ for determination in rain fed condition need to be further studied.
