Conductance Method Determination to the Drought Resistance of Elymus Species under PEG6000 Stress

Abstract:

By 15% polyethylene glycol (PEG6000) for stress medium, artificial simulation drought condition, to evaluate anti-drought of 59 germplasm materials which include 7 Elymus species. The results showed, 59 germplasm materials can be divided into four levels according to the evaluation standards, which are very high, high, medium, low. Germplasm materials of very high drought resistance have five, for 8.48% of the whole materials, including PJ001, PJ003, PJ005, PJ006, PJ027. High drought resistance have 16, for 27.12% which are PJ002, PJ004, PJ007, PJ009, PJ010, PJ011, PJ012, PJ013, PJ014, PJ017, PJ018, PJ021, PJ036, PJ042, PJ07, PJ093. Medium have 20, for 33.9%, which are PJ025, PJ029, PJ033, PJ034, PJ035, PJ038, PJ039, PJ054, PJ066, PJ067, PJ068, PJ090, PJ097, PJ098, PJ099, PJ100, PJ108, PJ109, PJ113, PJ114. And low drought resistance have 18, for 30.50%, which are PJ019, PJ022, PJ037, PJ069, PJ070, PJ074, PJ075, PJ077, PJ078, PJ092, PJ101, PJ105, PJ107, PJ110, PJ111, PJ112, PJ115, PJ116. Conductance method has considerable sensitivity and accuracy, is the effective means of screening drought resistance germplasm rapidly.
