Abstract:According to pig apolipoprotein A5 (apoA5) gene sequence in GenBank，we design 3 pairs of primers for amplification of Kele pig and Guizhou White Xiang pig′s apoA5 gene respectively by PCR and sequencing, and compare the two pigs species apoA5 gene sequences to identify the genetic variation. The results showed: Kele pig apoA5 gene DNA length is 2474bp.White Xiang pig gene apoA5 gene DNA length is 2473bp,which contains three exons and two introns respectively. ApoA5 gene coding region in both of the two pig breeds are 1092bp encoding 363 amino acids. Compared the White Xiang pig apoA5 sequence with the Kele′s, there are 12 mutations, including six transversion,five transition,one deletion mutation, the two pig′s nucleotide homology was 99.6%. It provids a certain foundation for the further study of pig apoA5 gene polymorphism, biological activity and the pig′s production traits。
