Abstract: The effects of different mediums, carbon sources, light treatment and active carbon on callus induction and buds differentiation from young leaf in Anthurium andraeanum lind have been studied in this paper. The results showed that the improved MS with 6-BA 1.0 mg/l + 2,4-D 0.1 mg/l and glucose 30 g/l at darkness condition were favorable to increase callus induction; The subculture medium supplemented with active carbon 1.0g/l was suitable to increase callus proliferation and to strengthen seedling. The differences of callus induction and buds differentiation among varieties in Anthurium andraeanum were exist. No necessary for inducing root formation was needed. The survival rate of plants transplanted on a large scale was more than 95%.
