Abstract:

Objective: The performances of new sugarcane variety Guifu 98-296 were analyzed to understand the values in use and breeding. Method: The variety's yielding ability, stability, compatibility and the resistance were compared by analyzing the output (sugar cane stem output and sucrose output), the coefficient of variation and the regression coefficient; According to the sixth cultivate results of new sugarcane variety regional test in China. The stem yield and sucrose yield of Guifu 98-296 were 115.56 t/ha and 17.12 t/ha respectively, is situated second and first separately in all tested varieties, reaches the remarkable level difference with the control, The effect value of stem yield and sucrose yield were 8.95 and 1.34 respectively, and also situated second and first separately in all tested varieties; the coefficient of variation of stem yield and sucrose yield were 12.03 and 11.53 respectively, and also situated eighth and ninth separately in all tested varieties; regression coefficient of stem yield and sucrose yield were 0.98 and 1.00 respectively; The artificial infection incidence rate of smut disease was 7.69%, was the 2 levels resistance; The artificial infection incidence rate of mosaic disease was 0, was the 1 levels resistance; the average injury to plant height rate was 17.91% under the drought condition; Conclusion: sugarcane variety Guifu 98-296 belongs to higher yield and sucrose content variety, have good compatibility, the production stability is middle; Higher anti-sugarcane mosaic, anti-sugarcane smut, has stronger drought resisting ability. Is suitable for planting at dry and slopes land with less fertility.
