Abstract:

The physical and chemical properties of soil which plant the cut Chrysanthemum are changing as the year past, causing plant diseases and insect pests more seriously, so affected the production number and quality of cut Chrysanthemum. This study aims at cut Chrysanthemum continuous cultivation through conducting greenhouse pot experiment, by taking soils which cultivated cut Chrysanthemum continuously for 6 years and behaved a serious obstacle as potting soil, investigating the effects of the production number and quality of cut Chrysanthemum after facility into 6 different soil amendments to which zeolite, bamboo vinegar, Pelargonium and seaweed powder were in proportion. The results showed that: after applying soil conditioners, soil bulk density and water suction decreased while soil total porosity, capillary porosity and aeration porosity increased the pH and EC of the soil also decreased. Total nitrogen and phosphorus content, biomass, plant height, chlorophyll content and root activity of cut Chrysanthemum were also increased significantly. Among these six treatments, the optimal substrate ratio is 5% zeolite + Pelargonium (diluted 300 times) treatment. This experiment provided a theoretical basis and practical support for future solution of the soil continuous cultivation problem.
