Abstract:

A psychrotolerant strain Y89 producing amylas,which is facultative anoxic , was isolated from activated sludge of sewage treatment plant of ShiJiaZhuang. The morphology, the physiological biochemical characteristics and the 16SrDNA analysis of the strain point out that this organism is a member of the genus Paenibacillus sp.. The strain is psychrotolerant, the optimum growth temperature was 16°C，the NaCl optimum for growth is 5%, the fastest growth occurred within pH6.0, the strain can also grow within a range of 5.0—9.5. The stationary phase of the strain occurred after cultured between72h and 124h ,water bath at 40℃, the amylase displayed maximum activity(386.13U/ml).
