Abstract:

In order to discuss the herbal extracts the growth cycle of salmonella influence, spectrophotometry was used to tested the density of different growth stages of bacteria. The growth curve compared with the control group. Ethanol extraction method selected from 28 kinds of Chinese herbal medicine significantly inhibitory effect of 4 kinds of Chinese herbs: radix scutellariae, cortex fraxini, wintergreen and radix sophorae tonkinesis. Further study four kinds of Chinese herbal medicine on the growth curve of Salmonella, with two times the dilution of the four Chinese determinations of salmonella minimal inhibitory concentrations (MIC). The results showed that: radix scutellariae and wintergreen had obvious antimicrobial effect, compared with the control group, radix scutellariae delay period was extended, the logarithmic phase was shortened; the delay period and logarithmic phase of wintergreen group were shortened. In the late of stable, cortex fraxini and wintergreen would promote cell growth.
