Abstract:

In this experiment, we used paraffin sections technology and safranine-fast green dyeing to study leaf anatomical structure of dwarf and vine bean (Phaseolus vulgaris), and it can provide theoretical basis for selecting and cultivating superordinary dwarf bean species .The results showed that the number of spiracles in leaf lower epidermis of dwarf bean were more than that of vine bean, and the disparity was very significant. The leaf blade thickness, spongy tissue thickness and the rarefaction extent of leaf blade organizational structure of dwarf bean were fewer than that of vine bean; But the tightness of leaf blade organizational structure and palisade tissue thickness/spongy tissue thickness of dwarf bean were more than of that of vine bean. The number of catheters in main vein bundle, the area of water delivery and the section area of phloem in the main nerve of leaf of dwarf bean were fewer than that of vine bean. Therefore, palisade tissue thickness/spongy tissue thickness could be used as the morphology screening indicator of dwarf bean.
