Abstract:

Productivity is a reflection of the competitiveness. Evaluating the production efficiency of green tea plantings in China is important to the development of tea industry in China. In this paper the DEA method was used to evaluate the input-output efficiency, the ten main producing provinces of China green tea as a decision-making unit. One side, from the DEA analysis the production of green tea such as Zhejiang province is non-DEA efficient and the reasons of non-DEA efficient units, each unit is increasing returns to scale; on the other side, the input redundancy was calculated according to the analysis of projection. Eventually, several propositions and policies were derived for the improvements of farmers’ production decisions.
