Abstract : 【OBJECTIVE】In order to find the best cross combination of sheep and Production System of lamb for Shenmu county,【METHOD】300 lamb from 6 Cross Combination, including Poll dorset♂×Fine wool sheep ♀(PF), German mutton merino♂ ×Fine wool sheep ♀(GS), Suffolk♂× Poll dorset♂×Fine wool sheep ♀(SPF), Texel♂×Poll dorset♂×Fine wool sheep ♀(TPF), Suffolk♂×German mutton merino♂×Fne wool sheep ♀(SGF)and Texel♂×German mutton merino♂×Fine wool sheep ♀(TGF), were compared on fattening effect. All of age-group lambs were kept in same indoor feeding condition. 【RESULTS】The results showed that the daily gain, feed conversion efficiency of three-way crosses were higher significantly than that of two-way crosses(p<0.01. The daily gain of SPF was the highest. The dressing percentage and net mutton rate of TPF were the highest, but there was no significant difference between PF, SPF, SGF, TGF and this combination. 【CONCLUSION】Thus, the effects of three-way crosses were better and Suffolk was of more superiority as terminal paternal of crossbred sheep.
