Abstract: Field experiments involving in different combinations of organic and inorganic fertilizers were conducted to investigate the effects of applying a green food specific organic fertilizer (GFOF) on banana. Results showed that application of GFOF significantly promote growth and development of banana. Under the same rates of NPK, a combination of GFOF at rate of 22500kg/hm2 with a mixed fertilizer at rate of 1860 kg/hm2, in which 50% NPK were from organic form and the other 50% from inorganic form, obviously accelerated growth and development of banana, increased fruit yield, and benefited the improvement of nutrition value and storage of banana fruits. In practice of agriculture at present, it should be encouraged that a combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers for green food production.
