Abstract:

In this paper the study examined the selfing, intraspecific and interspecific crossing between Pinellia ternate and Pinellia pedatisecta Schott．We also tested its pollination, fructification and germination rate in the field’s experiment. The result showed that both of the sexual reproduction were monoecious．Artificial crossing and selfing were fruitive，but intraspecific crossing was sterile. The maturing rate inter Pinellia pedatisecta Schott and inter Pinellia ternate could reach to 65% and 60%, and the mean of the seeds of each plant was 37 and 17 respectively. The selfing maturing rates of Pinellia pedatisecta Schott and Pinellia ternate were 88.24% and 62.5% separately．
