Abstract:

Anther culture and culture in vitro of unfertilized ovary or ovule are two methods to artificially induce haploid plantlets strawberry are with complicated ploidy. For the purpose of creating novel breeding materials, we employed strawberry as experimental materials, analyzed effects of six key factors, including genotype, extrinsic hormone, sucrose concentration, cold pretreatment, growth environment and development status, and illumination condition on induction of gynogenesis in vitro of unfertilized ovary. Results showed that the primary bud of land plants with appropriate gene type, 2,4-D as extrinsic hormone, the concentration of sucrose at six percentage and cold pretreatment for 48 hours, were the optimum conditions for haploid plants by embryo sac induction of unfertilized ovary in strawberry. The research aimed at providing reference for ploidy breeding in strawberry.
