Abstract:
Rhizomania is a soil-borne disease occurring in the major geographic range of sugar planting, and it has caused severe yield losses in lack of effective control management. The latest progresses on beet rhizomania were reviewed from the following aspects: ① Genome structure of beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV); ② Classification of BNYVV and the relationship with other beet soilborne virus; ③ Detection methods of beet rhizomania; ④ Control strategy of beet rhizomania. The research trend of rhizomania was also discussed in this paper.
