Abstract:

A pile experiment was carried out on broilers feed farm, to research on the effects of different litter ratio on growth performance of broilers and on environment in chicken coops in Deep-litter System. For the same total mass of each treatment, 5 treatments were carried out: traditional litter (CK), 70% traditional litter+30% corn straw (30% S), 40% traditional litter+60% corn straw (60% S), 10% traditional litter+90% corn straw (90% S), 20% traditional litter+60% corn straw+20% zeolite (60% S+20% Z). The results showed that: (1) there were no significant differences in average daily gain (ADG), average daily feed intake (ADFI), feed to gain ratio (F/G) among all treatments (P>0.05); but 30% S had lower feed to gain ratio (F/G) and death number than other treatments; (2) the moisture content and the concentration of NH3 rose gradually during the broilers growth. The moisture content of 30% S lower 12.91% than CK, the average concentration of NH3 lower 7.96% than CK.
