Abstract:
In order to find appropriate germination conditions for Catalpabungei seed and improve germination rate, the impact of temperature, soaking time, GA3、6-BA, Mn2+ on Catalpabungei seed germination and the growth of seedling was studied. The results showed that temperatures had significantly impacts on Catalpabungei seed germination, the appropriate temperature was 28℃. Soaking time had no significantly impacts on Catalpabungei seed germination. However, it could shorten germination time. Certain concentration of GA3 treatment could improve germination speed, germination rate and elongate seedling stem. 100 mg/L was the appropriate concentration. Seed after 6-BA treatment, germination rate was improved significantly. However, as the concentration increased, seedling stems became shorter and thicker. Higher concentration of 6-BA could inhibit seedling root development. 20 mg/L was the appropriate concentration for seed germination. 0.01% concentration of Mn2+ treatment shortened Catalpabungei germination speed, but high concentration of Mn2+ had toxic effects on seedling roots. Since Catalpabungei seed was small and testa was thin, it needed certain humidity, temperature without soaking seed. Low concentration of GA3, 6-BA and Mn2+ could promote seed germination.
