Abstract:

In this part, the effects of low-protein premix on serum biochemistry parameter and amino acid of grower pigs were conducted. 64 grower pigs were randomly allocated to group A, B, C and D. Group A and B diet were added with 4% low-protein diet premix, and group C and D diet were added with 4% common premix. Biochemistry parameter and amino acid of serum from precava were determined. Compared with control group C (normal CP level), serum glucose was increased by 23.06% and 16.33% respectively in group A (normal CP level with addition of EAA) and D (decline of 1.9 percent of CP level, with no addition of essential amino acid (EAA), but decreased by 25.42% in group B (decline of 1.6 percent of CP level, with addition of EAA). All the differences were significant (P<0.05). Serum blood urea nitrogen of group A was higher than in group B and D (P<0.05). Compared with group A, serum lysine and threonine were significantly decreased by 33.4% and 31.6%, 28.7% and 36.5%, 23.5% and 27.2% respectively in group B, C and D (P<0.05). It indicated that when adding EAA to a low-protein diet, the utilization of glucose, lysine and threonine was enhanced, and the trend of improved nitrogen deposition was observed.
