Abstract:
Technical parameter for supercritical carbon dioxide extraction of limonin from kumquat seeds were optimized, it can provide theoretical basis for the development of limonin. The single-factor experiments were used to investigate the effects of different co-solvent, co-solvent concentration, temperature, time, pressure and CO2 flow rate on limonin extraction rate. Based on the single-factor experiment, a quadratic-multinomial-mathematical model was established by Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The applicability of the model and interaction involved factors on extraction of limonin was verified. The results indicated that when the pressure of 33 MPa, temperature of 50℃, exaction time of 2.5 h, the highest exaction rate of limonin was 3.98 g/kg. Under the optimum condition, the results showed the model fitted well the experimental data and the model was feasible. The utilization of supercritical carbon dioxide extraction technology was beneficial to the industrialization promotion and application of limonin extraction.
